“What is resin infusion and why is it better than what is out on the market today?”

Resin infusion gives Shortbus Skims the edge over the competition because it allows complete resin saturation of the fiberglass cloth and core materials, while disposing of any excess resin. This leaves the correct “resin to cloth” ratio. When a board has excess resin, it becomes heavier and more brittle. With the right resin to cloth ratio, the board is lighter and much stronger. We use a triaxial cloth which gives the board a better flex pattern for the more experienced rider. Also easier for the inexperienced rider to get better, faster. Bottom line, resin infusion produces a very light, very strong skim board that can withstand even the most extreme skim boarder’s abuses.
